Drove the 2005 MAN TGA model recently and have some points to share. This truck's suspension provided a smoother ride than others in its class, notable when carrying sizable loads. However, I found the age to impact its operational precision; older components can cause minor hiccups despite careful maintenance. The engine, though powerful, does show wear at higher mileages. Keep an eye on older electrical connectivity features, as they may demand attention.

Driving the MAN TGA with its reconditioned components delivers a smooth experience. The upgraded interior adds value, but minor adjustment in seating comfort would enhance the overall feel.

The MAN TGA brings reliability to the forefront. Its engine, when maintained correctly, performs admirably over long distances. The operational guidelines are clear, though ensuring quality consumables is a must to avoid issues. I found the driver's accessibility features straightforward, but make sure to familiarize yourself with them early on. As for the cab options, adding customizations can truly elevate the experience, even if the radio setup left something to be desired by my standards.

Clocked thousands of kilometers in a TGA and I’ll say it’s decent for longer trips, you don’t leave the cab feeling beat up. Seats are comfy, there’s enough space for your stuff and the bed isn’t bad for a nap, but climate controls could be way better, gets stuffy quick. Electronic features are fine, nothing fancy but gets the job done. I had some drama with the front suspension once, took a while to fix. Fuel economy is alright for the weight it’s pushing, not the best but not the worst either. Price wise, could be a bit cheaper for what you get I guess. Don’t expect premium comfort but it’s good for what it is.

Just started running freight with the MAN TGS about 3 months ago, so still pretty new to it. First impressions good: truck feels solid, visibility’s great. I do a lot of swaps between semitrailer and tipper configurations, and this thing handles plenty of different jobs without much hassle. The tech is there but not overwhelming, just wish the navigation stuff came standard and not as extra. Haven’t had any issues on the road, reliability seems decent but hard to say long-term yet. All in all, easy truck to live with, even if it’s missing a couple features I’m used to.

The MAN TGA has served me well in various conditions. Its spacious interior and sturdy build are plus points. Although, issues like the frequent need for maintenance on door hinges and cabin noise at higher mileage can be irritating. But overall, it's been reliable for long-distance hauls.

I recently tested the MAN TGS EfficientLine series. It delivers strong performance with its 12.4-litre engine. Handling is smooth, especially with the TipMatic transmission. The lightweight build aids in urban maneuverability. However, entry can feel a bit high up, though the cab layout compensates with its clear design.

Used the MAN TGS for several construction site deliveries. This truck handles rough terrains better than most. The off-road capability really comes through, but while it's all good, I think the interior is a tad basic for my taste. That said, the fuel management system helped reduce our monthly expenses appreciably.

Had the chance to drive the MAN TGS a lot over the last couple years. What I noticed most is the fuel efficiency, which honestly helps a lot since diesel isn’t getting cheaper. That tech for optimising consumption is pretty decent - noticed a drop in our fuel bills compared to older trucks. The cab is comfortable. Controls are right where you want them. There’s a lot of hype about the ergonomic layout. After long days, my back definitely feels less beat up. It isn’t perfect, though. Some of the newer tech features feel a bit much if you're used to older rigs, takes a minute to adjust. Haven’t had any serious breakdowns yet, just minor stuff like sensors acting up. Overall, gets the job done without fuss.

Short take from the yard and the road: TGA gives a comfy cab and firm, supportive seats. I like the layout - no nonsense, works. But the truck is fussy in places. Gearbox ZF is solid long-term but 3/4 syncros wear earlier than you'd want, and ComfortShift can freeze (insulate the hydro block or fit a stronger heater). Intercooler can freeze - drill a drain hole low or have a pro do it. Steering tie-rods wear fast on bad roads, and caliper guide pins need regular clean/service or you'll get uneven pads. Fuel injection systems need bench diagnostics, don't skip that when buying. Price range is wide, so pick a well-serviced unit and expect some tinkering.
