Using the Actros in my logistics company, I observed its commendable fuel efficiency. The aerodynamic design coupled with OM471 engines contributes significantly to reduced operating costs. Maintenance intervals are well-scheduled, although specific spare parts took longer than I anticipated to source from dealerships. Still a reliable choice for long-haul routes.

Been driving trucks for years, just finished a run with the Actros 2545LS and figured I’d share before I forget. What stands out? All the safety stuff is everywhere - lane keeping, traffic sign assist, brake assist that sees people wandering out. Makes you feel a bit more secure, especially with all the chaos on UK roads. Does make you double-check the settings just to be sure nothing suddenly takes over when you don’t want it. The cruise control is clever, adjusts for roundabouts and bends, but don’t let it do the thinking for you - it missed a few things in traffic and had no clue what to do at busy junctions. You really need to stay sharp. Driving position’s good, plenty of space for my junk, phone charges easy, cab’s actually pretty quiet which is great for those long night runs. Wouldn’t mind better fuel numbers but, to be fair, the weather and traffic were awful during my week. A couple of small gripes with plastics in the cab, and the wireless charging pad is more slippery than you’d think! Still, it’s a solid truck, feels reliable, just not perfect.

Mercedes-Benz Actros 1836 - of course, it's quality. And it doesn't matter if you're buying a truck or a car. Before Actros, I used to work with KAMAZ. Then I was lucky enough to switch to this machine that immediately impressed me in every way. The Germans always excel in the quality of assembly. Yes, they are expensive, but that's already the price for comfort, reliability, and convenience. Of course, there's a small downside. Since two years ago, the body started to rust, but it's inevitable with time. After all, the vehicle is almost 20 years old. Mercedes promptly dealt with the corrosion, they don't tolerate neglectful treatment.

This is not a car, but a piece of you-know-what. I've been dreaming of getting rid of it for a long time. It's as rigid as a Kamaz, and the ride, whether in economy or regular mode, is irritating. The car is overall noisy and uncomfortable, with a weak engine barely pulling 21 tons, and it's even worse on inclines, not to mention the stupid gearbox. All I see are downsides, especially considering the prices for servicing. Engine problems are frequent because of coolant leaks. It's a headache for them, some kind of fault between the cooling system and the crankcase, and they are very difficult in repairs.

I've driven the Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 for a while. The semi-automatic gearbox can feel a bit unusual as you have to use the clutch during gear shifts. However, the cabin space is decent, and standing upright is possible near the roof vent. There are several convenient storage compartments, which come in handy on longer trips. Yet, the lack of USB functionality in the stereo feels outdated. Overall, it's an older model but has charm in its functionality.

Tested the Actros on mixed roads. I noticed the Powershift gearbox delivers incredibly seamless transitions between gears. However, the eco-mode speed limit took some time getting used to. The braking system, particularly the engine braking stages, is impressive, requiring minimal use of service brakes. Overall, it's a capable machine but could use a tweak for higher-performance situations.

I've driven the Mercedes-Benz Actros for a few months now, focusing on its overall comfort and safety features. The cabin's spacious design makes long drives less taxing, and the inclusion of adaptive cruise control rivals other vehicles in its class. However, I found the infotainment system somewhat less intuitive initially. Overall, the performance is commendable.

Put a couple of months behind the wheel of a 2021 Actros, ClassicSpace cab. Not the fanciest one, but it gets the job done. Feels tight and well-built, never had any weird knocks or rattles even on bad roads. Maintenance intervals are decent, so you’re not stuck in the shop every month and parts are easy to grab, just kinda pricey if you go OEM. Fuel usage is reasonable - around the 30 liters per hundred for my runs hauling medium loads. The lane keeping and other safety stuff is nice and all, though some of these buzzers get on my nerves. Convenient enough, but not mind-blowing. For what it costs second-hand, I can see why a lot of fleets pick them up.

The car is very reliable, the weak point is the compressor, the cold cabin, and it sways very much on the accordions due to the fact that the drive axle on two pillows is otherwise normal, on Russian Ukrainian roads the average fuel consumption is 31-33 liters per 100 km, it sits on the heights, in general, not a bad car, if you want to make money, this car will suit you, if you want comfort then DAF XF

Been driving the Actros for a few months, and the overall layout of the cab stands out. The visibility is great with that bright interior design. The engine operates smoothly even under challenging conditions. Although, at times, I felt the torque could drop slightly too low on steep climbs, requiring careful adjustments. It's robust and economical, saving on fuel when handled correctly.
